Over the past several decades, data storage devices have come a long way. It was not too long back when IBM shipped the first hard drive in 1956, which used to hold merely 5 MB of data and used to cost a whopping $10,000. So the progress has not just happened in terms of storage capacity but now the storage devices are available at a fraction of cost of the price that they used to cost in those days.
